Introduction:
All are invited to attend the 3rd annual Alaska Meet and Greet! This will be a family oriented event with a focus on bringing the state’s large OHD (off highway driving) community together. Come meet new friends and get re-acquainted with old ones. The event will be held at the Alaska State Fairgrounds which is at 2075 Glenn Highway in the city of Palmer. There will be lots of room with spectacular mountain views all around, close to downtown Palmer and close to multiple trail heads.
This is a 2 day event, with activities planned for Saturday and trail runs on Sunday. On Saturday there will be equipment demonstrations including winching technique, Pull-Pal usage, Hi-Lift jack usage, RTI ramp, and on trail welding and repair. There will also be emergency trail related medical instruction, special guest speakers, and a Wheeling101 class. Information will be available from the BlueRibbon Coalition, the United Four Wheel Drive Assoc. and Tread Lightly! There’s going to be raffle prizes, people’s choice vehicle judging, fun for the kids, food and some really cool off-road vehicles to look at! Sunday there will be trail runs of all abilities.
So come on out! Bring the family, and experience some good old fashioned Alaskan hospitality!
