News Archive, July through August 2004

At our last regular meeting another associate members was added to the roles of the club.  Congratulations Nate Berger.  His vehicle info has been added to the members section.  It was also brought to my attending that Robert Ludwig's vehicle profile was not on the members page, so that has been added as well.

I'll take this opportunity to also remind any club members how need to update their vehicle information, please email me with any revised information and I'll get it updated as quick as possible.  Thanks.

In the money section of the Anchorage Daily News on August 1 there was an interesting article about rights of way.  The focus is more on the legalities and rights of private land owners and how right of ways can affect them.  But I found it to be an interesting read at least for an overview of the three types of right of ways in Alaska, RS 2477's are mentioned briefly at the end of the article.

While making the transition to a new meeting location, our president decided take the opportunity to have an informal meeting/barbeque at a local softball field.  I believe everyone had fun.  For the record meeting minutes were taken, and can be found here.

On July 22 the club gathered at Valley Street Park for a cleanup and short meeting.  The park looked good even before we started, I think because the local residents are keeping an eye on the park, but we still managed to fill around 10 large bags full of trash.  Full minutes for the meeting have been added to the Archive Section.  They can also be view by clicking here.

On July 8 we held another club meeting, this time in the parking lot of Tony Roma's due to a schedule error on the restaurant's part.  A number of topics were discussed, such as the upcoming Bear Paw Parade.

Our next meeting is July 22 at Valley Street Park.

Once again Carrie Lance has supplied us with excellent meeting minutes from our last meeting.  On June 24 we met at Valley Street Park for our monthly park cleanup and a short meeting.  The park was good condition, but we still managed to fill approximately eight large bags full or garbage.
