Permanente International Loop

(Continued)

From the slide forward the trail is a bit more difficult but still nothing to tough. Pics of us driving to the big boulders.

Here is Myself and Nate just driving across the separation between the Lower and Upper Slide of International Loop. I drove the Upper Portion this last summer after the Meet and Greet. We have yet to do the Lower Portion. Next summer!

Here I am standing at the beginning of what I think is a Doable Route. Frosty named this section of rocks. Pyramid. After a big pyramid looking rock. Second is a pic of my Heep like 50 feet from the roadway. It was just to difficult to tell what was snow, dirt or rocks this time of year so we did not get very far.

Pyramid Rock. Dominates this section of the field. Next is a picture of just how freaking HUGE the field it. MILES long.

So now it is official. Nobody can say Alaska does not have any rocks. This field is easy in sections and impassable in others. I have done the Rubicon, mountain biked Moab and watched rigs go through the Little Sluice on the Ruby and I will say that this field has sections harder than ALL of them. Not to mention your 70-80 miles from Anchorage in ALASKA!

Next we are off to the Upper Creek section of the International Loop Trail. FUN and a bit of carnage.
